Looking at Shrek Forever After
For those of you who are still interested in the Dreamworks animated series of Shrek, you’ll be happy to know about the impending fourth movie in the franchise. Coming Soon has the scoop on the new film from director Mike Mitchell himself. Here’s more from the director:
“He has lost his roar. It used to send villagers running away in terror. Now they run to him and ask him to sign their pitchforks and torches.”
To regain his ogre mojo, he strikes a deal with Rumpelstiltskin, who is voiced by Walt Dohrn, the film’s head of story. The pact goes awry and Shrek must confront what life would be like in Far Far Away if he had never existed. That translates into Donkey being forced into cart-pulling duty, fat and lazy Puss in Boots trading his sword for a pink bow and the underhanded Rumpelstiltskin ruling the kingdom.
First off, I never wanna see ogre and mojo in the same sentence again. Secondly, here is the first official image from the upcoming film. Starring the voice talents of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy along with Paul McCartney voicing Rumpelstiltskin, this feature will roll out into theaters on May 21rst, 2010.:

Well, at least now we’ll all get the answer to “Can they make a worse movie than Shrek 3?”
