Carol Ferris, Hal Jordan’s love interest and also villain against The Green Lantern, has finally be cast. Blake Lively slides into the role of the DC Comics and Warner Bros Pictures film and will be co-starring with Ryan Reynolds who’s been set to play Hal Jordan/Green Lantern for some time. Filming is already set to begin in June with Martin Campbell in the director’s chair, which means were going to be seeing a lot more casting developments on this science fiction tale.

The casting process will next turn its eye to the roles of Dr. Hector Hammond, one of the key villains, and the alien known as Sinestro (THR). Lively more recently was seen not only in the typical episodes of the television series Gossip Girl but in feature length films such as The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. Lively next will be seen on the big screen later this year in the crime thriller entitled The Town.
