Liam gets his Arabian Nights

Triangle and The Last Song actor Liam Hemsworth puts himself in the middle of the action, literally, as he signs on to be in Arabian Nights. The period epic centers on a young commander (Hemsworth) who, after his king is murdered in a coup, joins forces with Sinbad and Aladdin to rescue Queen Scheherazade (THR). Chuck Russell will be directing the project from the script written by Barry P. and Russell Ambrose. Chuck’s previous credits include Eraser and The Scorpion King.

Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray are producing under Mayhem Pictures along with Bill Johnson under Inferno Entertainment. Principal photography is expected to start up in the end of this summer. You can see Hemsworth co-star alongside Miley Cyrus in the Julie Anne Robinson directed romance drama The Last Song on March 31rst.
