Leonard Nimoy retires from acting

Leonard Nimoy, who is best known as Spock from the Star Trek franchise, told the Toronto Sun he’s retiring from acting.:

“I’ve been doing this professionally for 60 years,” he says with a laugh. “I love the idea of going out on a positive note. I’ve had a great, great time.”

Nimoy currently shot his final appearance on Fringe, and won’t be expected to appear in J.J. Abrams Star Trek sequel. He also states that this year’s Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo could be his last appearance. Leonard Nimoy will always be a legend to us sci-fi geeks, and it’s a sad day to see him retire.
