Lego the Movie gets writers
Yep, you read that right. Those building block things called Lego, so beloved from anyone’s childhood (if you were born in the 1980s) is getting a movie from WB, as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs writers/directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are attached to the project. Apparently, they presented WB with a creative proposal that won the studio over, according to Heat Vision.

Well, if the Lego franchise has survived this long, and has a popular video game franchise (see Lego Star Wars or Lego Batman), why not a movie? Every other toy from the ’80s is doing it. Thoughts?
