Lea Seydoux could be The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
It was reported earlier this week that David Fincher was still looking for actors/actresses to star in lead roles of The Girl With Dragon Tattoo remake. Daniel Craig was reportedly still in talks to star, and that many actresses were on the short-list to be Lisbeth Salander. Now, a new girl has join the list, and could possibly be the front-runner to get the role.
According to Showbiz 411, French actress Lea Seydoux is being considered, and after her screen test is done, she may get cast. The actress recently appeared in Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood, and made a was briefly seen in Inglourious Basterds. She had a major role in Jessica Hausner’s Lourdes.
Of course, there’s no guarantee that Seydoux will get the role. It seems the actress has yet to be screen-tested, and the studio could go with one the more well-known actresses, if she doesn’t work out. To shed some light on the situation, Daniel Craig is reportedly locked for the role of Mikael Blomkist. Filming is expected to begin in October, so expect the role to be filled soon.
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is scheduled to open on December 21, 2011.
