Krasinski finds Something Borrowed

John Krasinski may not be Captain America, but he is joining up on the latest romantic comedy called Something Borrowed. He joins up on the cast, co-starring alongside Big Love‘s Ginnifer Goodwin in the story about a Manhattan attorney who becomes involved with her best friend’s fiancé. Luke Greenfield is directing the adaptation from the novels written by Emily Giffin. It’s already been reported as well that Alcon Entertainment will be spreading this out into a two part piece, already acquiring the rights to the sequel novel Something Blue.

Krasinski’s deal is rare in that it is a two-picture deal for a role — he will play Goodwin’s friend and confidant — more supporting in nature in the first movie but which evolves into the male lead in the second one (THR). Principal photography is already slated to start up sometime this spring.
