Kick-Ass 2?

Even though we scored an early review of the film here, the rest of you won’t be able to see it until April 16th. That doesn’t mean people won’t start talking about a sequel. Word is that it follows the original 8 issue series quite closely. While at this week’s SXSW Film Festival, stars Aaron Johnson and Chris Mintz-Plasse told Coming Soon that Mark Millar and John Romita are working on a new miniseries, which the film’s director Matthew Vaughn will help in writing in some fashion.

“Matthew and Mark have a lot of ideas, and I think they work quite tightly,” says Aaron Johnson. We all shall see, and if these early positive buzz is any indication, then Lionsgate will be extremely happy for a Kick-Ass 2.
