Kevin Spacey will be a Horrible Boss

Mike Markowitz’s script for Horrible Bosses has been sitting on the shelf over at New Line for many years. However, the film has been moving forward recently and has signed on most of its cast.

Now, the final piece in the puzzle in casting of the murder comedy has been filled.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, has signed on to star in the film. He will be joining Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and  Jason Sudiekis, who were cast back in May. The film is about three workers, who are frustrated with their jobs, and decide to kill one another’s bosses.

Collin Ferrel and Jennifer Anniston have been cast as two of  the three bosses, and Jaimie Foxx will play a scam artist. Spacey has come on board as Bateman’s boss, “a master manipulator with an attractive wife.”  The role was described as “meaty and integral to the movie”, which lead to New Line talking to Tom Cruise, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Jeff Bridges before Kevin Spacey was attached. Seth Gordon will directing, and will start production on July 6th in Los Angeles.
