Keke Palmer offered role in Runaways?
Marvel continues to dominate the comic book movie genre with Thor, Captain America, and X-men: First Class coming next summer, and Spider-man 3D and The Avengers the following summer. Development on another one of Marvel’s properties is about to begin production on Runaways in the Spring of next year, with Peter Sollett set to direct. Now, casting for the film seems to have begun.
/Film reports that Keke Palmer (Shrink) has been offered a role in the film. “I’ve had a nice little break with the steady TV show but I’m definitely ready to do some more films again. I was just asked to join a new Marvel comic project called, “Runaways.”,” she said. There’s been no comment from Marvel on the casting, but it would seem unlikely that she’d just make something like that up.
The comic centers on a group of teenagers who discover their parents are super-villains in an organization called “The Pride”. After running away from home, the teenagers band together to discover the origin of their powers and their parents’. Production is looking begin in next March.
