Joss Whedon and Edgar Wright meet about Ant-Man?

So we now know that Joss Whedon will be directing Marvel’s The Avengers and that many popular heroes will be featured, but what about Ant-Man? Cinema Blend reports that Edgar Wright met with Whedon supposedly about featuring the pint size hero in the highly anticipated film:

“I just met Joss Whedon for the first time. Speculation commence!”

This doesn’t mean the meeting was about Ant-Man, and is only speculation at this point. Edgar Wright has been rumored to be the director for a film about Ant-Man, but haven’t heard anything from that since 2007.  Whedon was also recently hired as director for The Avengers, so one can assume their discussion would be about Ant-man.

The Avengers is scheduled to hit theaters May 4, 2012.
