Jones doesn’t want to be The Lincoln Lawyer

tommy-lee-jonesTommy Lee Jones is stepping away from the project The Lincoln Lawyer after creative differences between him and Lakeshore Entertainment. Jones has been set to direct and co-star with Matthew McConaughey in the Lakeshore Entertainment adaptation of the Michael Connelly novel (Variety). That means that Lakeshore is already fast on the hunt for another director and actor despite this pretty big setback.

Jones’ latest movie is in the middle of post-production on a film called The Company Men. The story centers on a year in the life of three men trying to survive a round of corporate downsizing at a major company – and how that affects them, their families, and their communities. The John Wells directed film has a to be announced 2010 release date.

I've been in love with film ever since I was a kid. The time, effort and passion that runs through a majority most film is something that's always attracted me to this field. What ended up happening with my big appetite for all things going on in the industry turned from random blurbs on Facebook to an unexpected but fun job. College student by day, movie news writer by early morning...or any time in the day and night when more news arrives. Working towards my bachelor's degree in film, what a surprise. I do other things too, like draw, write stories, maintain a social life and feed my pet dragon Lockheed. If you want to know more about me, hunt me down and just ask.
