Jolie to be a Tourist instead of Theron

Angelina Jolie is filling in for Charlize Theron who just opted out of starring in the thriller “The Tourist”. The film, based off of the 2005 French feature of the same name, originally was going to have actress Charlize Theron take on the leading role. No word on why exactly the Academy Award winning actress ducked out, but now Spyglass Entertainment is quickly trying to get Angelina Jolie on board.

Along with the woes of trying to scoop up Jolie immediately for a tentative early 2010 filming start, Spyglass is on the hunt for a director. Again its a matter of the previous person dropping off, in this case director Bharat Nalluri who’s better known for his work on “Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day”.
