Jet Li’s back in wushu
Many people misunderstood when Jet Li retired from action, they thought all action films. But instead he retired from the wushu genre that made him famous in such films like Once Upon a Time in China and the Tai Chi Master. His last wushu film was Fearless, a film he proudly proclaimed a fitting farewell to the genre. Not so fast, since nobody ever really retires in the entertainment industry, as Li is set to be in a new Tsui Hark (Seven Swords) film, New Dragon Gate Inn. The film follows Ming Dynasty General Chow Wai-On who fights the power-hungry eunuch Tsao Siu-Yan at a deserted inn called Dragon Gate.
The film is a remake of a 1992 film, similarly titled, Dragon Inn and will be in 3D. You can find Li next in The Expendables this August.
