Jeff Bridges to star in True Grit

Yes, the Tron and Iron Man star will reteam with the Coen Brothers, for the first time since 1998’s The Big Lebowski, for their semi-remake of True Grit. The film will focus more on the original novel, written by Charles Portis, than the classic 1969 John Wayne film.
Bridges will star as Rooster Cogburn, the role that Wayne played, and the role that gave The Duke his only Oscar.
Coens are making this film for Paramount.
