Jackman drops Avon Man for Wolverine 2?
It’s been over a year since Hugh Jackman was attached to star in Avon Man, which is a comedy about a car-salesman turned Avon Salesman. The actor was attached to produce and star in the film that will be directed by Kevin Lima. However, Jackman has now dropped for another film, Wolverine 2.
Deadline Hollywood reports that Hugh Jackman dropped out of the lead in order to begin getting into shape to return as the rabid Wolverine. While Jackman will be spending most of the fall preparing for the role, he’s still set to star in Lee Daniel’s Selma and is still attached to produce Avon Man.
There’s been no official announcement from Jackman, or those representing him that he dropped out specifically for Wolverine 2. Filming is tentatively scheduled to begin in January, so it would be about time the got started on getting fit for the role. Christopher McQuarrie will be penning the script, and is hinted to take place in Japan. No director has been set, but Matt Reeves and Tony Scott are the top contenders for the job.
