Jackie gets Spielberg on board
No, Steven Spielberg is not directing this picture, but he’s attached to produce it at the very least. The LA Times reports that he’s selling off the script entitled Jackie that could possibly get picked up by HBO Films for production.
The script in question was penned by Noah Oppenheim, the head of development at Reveille who’s also a journalist, author and former producer at the “Today” show has written the script, which examines the days immediately following the assassination of John F. Kennedy from Jackie Kennedy’s point-of-view (LA Times).
Spielberg is attached as producer to The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, the True Grit remake and Cowboys & Aliens just to name a few.
