It figures, Death Race 2 on the way
The people at Arrow in the Head are reporting some good news for those of you who watched the first Paul W.S. Anderson Death Race movie, and that’s the plans for the sequel. The second film, entitled Death Race: Frankenstein Lives centers on a newly institutionalized rogue of sorts ready to duke it out on the race track just to prove that he’s tough enough to survive in the prison. Word has it that this particular feature will be going straight to DVD and possibly Blu-Ray, so do not expect for this puppy to appear on the big screen like it’s previous film.
Since there will be a new face to take over the role of ‘Frankenstein’, that means that action star Jason Statham will not make any sort of return. Production is set to start late Feburary of 2010, for those who are actually excited for this.
