Is Michel Gondry directing The Green Hornet???

Michel Gondry, the famed director behind such films as, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless and The Science of Sleep, is the latest director now announced to  be circling the adaptation of The Green Hornet.  The film had gone through a few changes as Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle) was first set to direct the film, and star as sidekick Kato, but had since dropped out due to creative differences. The film still has a tentative release date of June 25, 2010 assuming Sony Pictures gets their act together, and find a committed director toward the project.

The Green Hornet has an official website, and with new logo for quite some time now, but is basically just holding the Internet space till the film begins, so they will have promotional material.   You can check out the official site HERE
