AintitCool has stated a few interesting rumors on the Green Lantern film that’s coming our way June 17, 2011. The two rumors are that the new Freddy Krueger himself, Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen) will star as the film’s villain, Sinestro!

Also, there’s talk of Superman making a cameo appearance. Take all of this with a grain of salt, but these are two bombshells, if it’s true! The film will star Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal, Adventureland) and is directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale). Sinestro recently was seen in the DCU animated film, Green Lantern: First Flight.
