Is Burton doing Monsterpocalypse?

That’s what the people over at Deadline are suggesting as DreamWorks tries to woo Alice in Wonderland director Tim Burton to helm the game turned feature film. This definitely is not the first time that said random board game is turning into a film, a recent example being Peter Berg’s Battleship.

Monsterpocalypse is a kaiju-themed collectible miniatures game that has random monsters ripping each other apart in the imaginative sense. Burton is not completely attached at the moment, DreamWorks is just trying to work their negotiating magic so they can go and get him on board. The director is currently in the middle of pre-production on the full length stop animation feature film version of Frankenweenie.
