Iron Man 2 won’t make the 3D jump

Submitted by Melissa Molina on December 22, 2009 – 11:50 am2 Comments

Apparently Iron Man 2 was going to cast itself into the worlds of the third dimension but now rumors of that visual merge have been debunked. Previously Marvel Studios was contemplating putting the hunk of metal in 3D, but in the end it seems that the company felt it would not be the wisest investment for their tent pole summer movie. Here’s more on what MarketSaw says on the news.:

RASPUTIN

I am VERY disappointed to say the least as I thought the *FIRST* one should have been made in S3D – let alone the second. I think Marvel is wasting a valuable opportunity to get this done and of course they are leaving a lot of money on the box office table by not doing it as well.

I am digging for more info on this but from what I can tell you – it is a no go for 3D. I do know that IRON MAN 2 is not the ONLY property that Marvel is considering for S3D! More when I get it.

If Iron Man 2 will not be the one that’ll be going in 3D, which Marvel property will? Only time will tell, along with the heads of the company.
