Independent video stores adding tanning beds
Independent video stores are thinking outside the box to stimulate revenue and one idea is to add tanning beds.The Hollywood Reporter says that more than 3,500 indie video stores have tanning beds, accounting for roughly 40% of the income at those locations. This is obviously a move to attract new customers and tap into the lucrative tanning market but will this idea save the struggling independent video market? Â
Meanwhile, Blockbuster Video is prepping to file Chapter 11 to restructure it’s massive debt load which will cause a large portion of Blockbuster stores to close. Â Â
