Illumination wants Jack Black animated

Illumination Entertainment is making sure they keep their hands on Jack Black’s pitch for his newest animated feature. The untitled pitch is centered in the world of cryptozoology, which is the search for legendary creatures whose existence has never actually been confirmed, like the Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot (Variety). Jack Black and scribe Jason Micallef developed the pitch and Black will be producing alongside Ben Cooley and Chris Meledandri. The only problem with all of this is Jack Black will not be providing the voice of any characters within this film.

Right now Jack Black just finished doing the voice of Lemuel Gulliver in the upcoming Gulliver’s Travels feature. Along with that, he’s reprising the voice of Po in the sequel to the hit Dreamworks animated movie Kung Fu Panda.
