Iliff takes on American Gladiators

Peter Iliff is duking it out with American Gladiators, but with his pen as he’s writing up the screenplay for a big screen adaptation of the popular late eighties competition program. Story, which will feature the Herculean characters as superheroes, will be based on the TV show that first aired in 1988 and has been broadcast in more than 90 countries, with the format adapted for the local market in 14 of them (Variety).
Producing will be Scott Mednick, who’s eyeing a release date sometime around 2011. Iliff is already pretty busy, being one of the scribes to the sequel to the Keanu Reeves starring film Point Break.
