Iliadis goes for Jekyll

The Last House on the Left director Dennis Iliadis is quite popular today, judging the fact that we just reported on him taking on the reigns of the upcoming Sidney Kimmel Entertainment production of the supernatural thriller Pay the Ghost. Now Bloody Disgusting (via The Playlist) is reporting that he will also be sitting in the director’s chair in replacement of Nicolas Winding Refn on the Keanu Reeves starring feature entitled Jekyll. The Universal Pictures film’s plot is being kept under wraps, but BD reports that it will be a modern retelling of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novella “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”.

Revolutionary Road screen writer Justin Haythe put together the script for this version of the classic tale. Since we reported about how soon Sidney Kimmel Entertainment wants Pay the Ghost to be put together, we might not be seeing Jekyll hit theaters for quite awhile.
