IFC picks up the Antichrist

Lars Von Trier‘s latest controversial film Antichrist has just gotten distribution through IFC.  The latest from the anti-American director  seems to be one of his most visceral and violent feats yet, with scenes of William Defoe‘s testicles being banged up and Charolotte Gainsberg eventually masturbating the Platoon star till he ejaculates blood.

Early word has the film with mixed reviews, but certainly seems like the talented Lars Von Trier has either made a modern day horror masterpiece or a muddled mess trying too hard to be controversial.  Still no release date has been set for today’s purchase of Antichrist from the Cannes film festival.
