Hlavin for Underworld 4
The Shield and Trust Me writer John Hlavin landed himself one hell of a writing credit as he signs on to pen the fourth film in the Underworld franchise. Unfortunately, for all of you Kate Beckinsale lovers out there, there is no word if she’ll be attaching herself to this fourth feature. Then again, she has only be on the first two, completely skipping out on Underworld: Rise of the Lycans which served more as a prequel to the series. There is not a director attached yet but producing will be Underworld and Underworld: Evolution director Len Wiseman, Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Richard Wright under Lakeshore Entertainment with Screen Gems behind it as well.
THR has more on what Hlavin has to say on the script:
Hlavin said the plot is under wraps, “but I can tell you it’s not a prequel.” He added, “It will satisfy old fans and excite new audiences, meaning that we don’t want to redo the first three movies, so steps are being taken to honor what fans have loved but at the same time introduce fresh elements.”
Screen Gems has loads of pictures on their list, what seems to be the most anticipated and frustrating to me being the comic book adaptation of the South Korean comic Priest. Lakeshore has several others under their belt, also including an adaptation of the World War II based comic called The Losers.

I was hoping it would be prequel instead of a sequel, but whatever. I’m in either way.
I can’t wait to see this! I liked Rise of the Lycans so I’m hoping to be impressed the second time around. Look forward to your review m’dear!
Man………I sure hope they don’t screw it up! The Underworld series, thus far, has been untouchable…GREAT…AWESOME…#1..If they do not pick up where evolution left off, and give 3 times the action of the first 2 underworld movies, then this movie is going to be an absolute flop. Trust ME. (pun intended)
I hope for the best. May good fortune reign upon you during this time…that you may excite and dazzle us as well as emotionally move us….
I forewarn you… YOU HAVE QUITE THE ENDEAVOR TO PROCEED UPON. DO SO WISELY.
