He who was almost Thor

Thor, Marvel’s latest project has already cast the Norse God, but True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard was on the short list to be cast as Thor. He was so close, he even tried on the outfit for a screen test. Thor‘s director Kenneth Branagh, admits Skarsgard was the last to be cut, before signing Chris Hemsworth.

Skarsgard will return in next season for True Blood, and doesn’t rule out a chance to don the red, white, and blue for Captain America.
