HBO’s The Pacific gets a Blu-ray/DVD date
Even though the first episode in this Band of Brothers spin-off just aired the other night on HBO, fans can expect this new and potentially great series to be on Blu-ray and DVD just in time for Father’s Day week (we’re thinking June 15th). Nothing more has been announced yet, so stay tuned.
Currently, The Pacific is airing on HBO from producers Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, that’s follows three marines in their time during the South Pacific part of WWII.

Unfortunately, inaccurate information was released. Here is an official statement from HBO:
“The misinformation about the HBO miniseries, The Pacific being released on Father’s Day is incorrect. HBO Home Entertainment has not yet announced an exact DVD release date for The Pacific, however, the miniseries will not be available on DVD any earlier than the second half of the year.”

This is true, sadly. Still is a great show!
