Haunteds go to the big screen
Comic book films are in such high fashion right now that not a week goes by when there’s another illustrated property that gets the green light. This is the case once more as Meet the Haunteds, a story of a white family that moves in to a house haunted by black ghosts that have been there since the 1970s. Steve Carr is set to direct with his Rumpus Entertainment label attached to the picture.
Producing is Carr and Jason Taragan under Rumpus with Scott Mitchell Rosenberg under Platinum Studios. The graphic novel in question that’s already set for adaptation is not even published yet, that will not take place until sometime in 2011. Meet the Haunteds is written by Chris Wichtendahl and illustrated by Billy Penn (Variety).
Carr’s previous directing credits include Next Friday, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Daddy Day Care and Are We Done Yet?.
