Guggenheim brings Safe House to Universal
Universal Pictures gets their hands on David Guggenheim’s latest project entitled Safe House. The story revolves around the young housesitter of a CIA-run safe house. The housesitter must help a criminal who’s being hidden there as they flee to another secure facility when the first house is destroyed by villains who want the witness dead (Variety). The picture will be produced by Scott Stuber, who’s attached to several other projects which include The Wolfman, Battleship, Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World and Repo Men.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past two weeks, this weekend Universal Pictures revitalizes their monster movie franchise with the Joe Johnston directed feature The Wolfman. Also coming out under their seemingly endless slate of films is Green Zone and Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood.

This sounds interesting because my new feature film is called “SAFE HOUSE” and we are not changing the title, it is based on my award winning short film “SAFE HOUSE” which Village Roadshow, Mushroom Pictures & Hopscotch Films already showed keen interest in at Cannes Film Festival 2008. I have been developing the screenplay and it’s due to my C0-Producer in 4 days time as the 2ND draft. If anyone wants to question this then watch my short film version on You Tube. Just look up Safe House by Stephen Sherrard-Griffith. For info or questions email me at hiddentalentfilms@yahoo.com.au
PS I wonder if DreamWorks & Sony who were out bid for this spec wants to look at optioning my Safe House script which is a really original {Not “16 Blocks” rip off} about Mossad & PLO spies and the CIA and MI6 which is moving, powerful and heart breaking. Maybe Universal can call their’s “The Safe House” because I ain’t giving up my film title.

You should keep the title. Highly original!
