Greg Berlanti directing The Flash?

The Green Lantern producer and co-writer Greg Berlanti might be the golden boy that Warner Bros Pictures wants to helm their latest DC Comics project The Flash, reports IESB. Though it is not entirely confirmed or denied, he’s still the lead in contention to nab the reigns on this new comic book adaptation. It’s no surprise at this point that Warner Bros is getting their act together, especially after almost a decade’s worth of being one upped over Marvel Comics with a couple of other studios on their mostly solid and connecting story lines within their universe.

After the recent success of The Dark Knight, Warner Bros knew what kind of monster they had on their hands and now they’re starting to throw together certain DC properties onto the big screen that could bring about a Justice League movie. Granted, they were trying to make one prior to the Writer’s Strike happening, but that turned into a blessing for the studio more than anything else when it came to the way they should approach the properties loved by many.

No word on who else is in the running to take the director’s spot in The Flash movie, but who would you prefer to take the reigns? While were at it, who do you want to be The Flash?
