Gordon-Levitt dives into Premium Rush and Looper
Joseph Gordon-Levitt trickles his way out of drama and more into the explosive line of fire as he circles two roles in action features. The first one of them is Premium Rush, a Columbia Pictures film that sees Gordon-Levitt as a New York bike messenger who picks up an envelope at Columbia University, only to be chased throughout the city by a dirty cop desperate to get his hands on it (Heat Vision Blog). David Koepp is directing and co-wrote the feature with John Kamps. The filmmaker’s previous credits including Secret Window, Ghost Town and Stir of Echoes.
The second film Gordon-Levitt is eyeballing is Looper, a futuristic tale in which time travel has been invented, with operatives sent back to the present to assassinate criminals. Gordon-Levitt will play a man sent back to kill himself (THR). Rian Johnson, who directed Brick and The Brothers Bloom, is helming the feature.
You can next see Joseph Gordon-Levitt share the screen with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio in the upcoming Christopher Nolan film Inception, coming out in theaters and IMAX on July 16th under Warner Bros Pictures.
