Gibson is a Cold Warrior

Mel Gibson is in the middle of negotiations to go and star in the upcoming film Cold Warrior. The new spy thriller comes from Universal Pictures that has Lethal Weapon series writer and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang director Shane Black attached to helm the picture. The story is off of the script written by Chuck Mondry that centers on a spy from the Cold War era who comes out of retirement to team with a younger agent from the new school to confront a domestic terrorism threat orchestrated by Russia (Variety).

Gibson is already in the middle of production on his latest film How I Spent My Summer Vacation that’s shooting in Mexico. The film he just worked on was the Jodie Foster directed comedy The Beaver and you can see him on the big screen this weekend in Edge of Darkness.
