Ghost to be turned into a musical !?

Submitted by Daniel Herrera on March 6, 2009 – 4:23 pmNo Comment

The classic romantic drama from 1990, Ghost is now being given the musical treatment as music producer Glen Ballard and the Eurythmics’ Dave Steward will be adapting the film for the London theatre.  The films original screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin will again be scripting the production.  Here’s hoping for you theatre lovers out there, that the man can re-capture the original lightning in a bottle success of the film for which he won an Oscar for.

The film is the latest film to be produced for the theatre as Sir Elton John had done so this past year with Oscar nominee Billy Elliot.  Earlier this year David Cronenbergs fantastic The Fly had been given the musical treatment as well, though in Opera form, with the former getting better reviews of the two.
