Ghost House planning a R.L. Stine adaptation

Sam Raimi’s genre production company, Ghost House, is adapting Goosebumps author R.L. Stine’s 2003 novel, The Sitter. Dana Stevens (City of Angels) will be writing the screenplay. The book follows a “young woman who runs from a troubled relationship by spending a fun-filled, romantic summer as a nanny in a posh Hamptons beach house. The dream job then takes a frightening turn when she uncovers a dark secret that haunts her and the kids she’s sworn to protect.”

No word on release date. The film is being also touted as The Au Pair, but it’s believed to be the working title.
