519CJ54PS3L._SL500_AA240_What a surprise, there’s another comic book adaptation that’s on the way. This time it’s in the form of Miss: Better Living Through Crime, a project that will be directed by Antoine Fuqua. The feature will be executive produced by Spike Lee in this big screen rendition of the mini graphic novel series.

Newly minted banner Vigilante Entertainment is developing the project, which revolves around Nola and Slim, two unlikely partners in crime in the early 1900s in New York. Nola is a poor white girl who has learned to survive by hook or by crook since being expelled from the orphanage. Slim is a black pimp with an uncertain past, trying to keep one foot out of the grave. Story revolves around a poor white girl and a black pim who forge a partnership as killers for hire (Variety).

John Ridley is penning the script with Hicham Benkirane producing.
