Friday the 13th Part 2 release date

After some speculation, the sequel to this year’s remake has been officially announced by Platinum Dunes. Friday the 13th Part 2 will see Jason return August 13th, 2010. Well, I should mention that this is what Brad Fuller wants, as the sequel hasn’t been officially greenlight (what are they waiting for?)

Derek Mears will return as Jason Voorhees, with a script by Mark Swift and Damian Shannon. This Friday film will be the 13th Friday the 13th. I hope they have some cool for us in store! Look for Platinum Dunes next film, A Nightmare on Elm Street next April. You can also check out their hit that started all this remaking business in Texas Chain Saw Massacre that just came to Blu-ray.
