Friday the 13th kills at the box office

This weekends horror remake Friday the 13th, slashed it’s way into the record books this weekend, as the film scored the biggest opening day for an R rated horror film ever with 19.3 million dollars.  This marked the second big weekend for  fledgling studio New Line Cinemas as their other film He’s Just Not That Into You maintained it’s box office supremacy nabbing the number 2 spot with 19.6 million dollars bringing it’s two week gross to just over 55 million dollars.
