Fox still wants to bring back the Apes
The Planet of the Apes reboot has been bobbing back and forth for awhile ever since Tim Burton’s 2001 disaster of a remake ultimately shot the entire franchise in the foot. Originally writer and director Scott Frank was attached to the project, but ever since he jumped ship a great deal of people believed that the project was completely dead. That’s certainly not the case now, as Vulture reports that Twentieth Century Fox is not letting the entire notion of the franchise completely die off.
Peter Chernin, better known for his once reigning position as head of News Corporation, has latched onto the project and hopes to get it off the ground immediately. Frank’s script, entitled Caesar, is said to center on the actual evolution of the apes bluntly becoming so smart and how they come to start to overthrow the humans. Frank and Fox jumped onto crossroads and then he left the project, but now that Chernin is completely trying to push it forward all sorts of revisions and crew hunting will be taking place pretty soon.

This series needs to be left alone. They can call it a “reboot” all they want, but its nothing other than a remake of “Conquest of Planet of The Apes”.
“Conquest” was a good movie.
if it comes to fruition, i’ll see it.
I love the Apes franchise, sans Burton’s remake
