Fox Exec talks Star Wars Blu-rays
This past Wednesday in Australia, 20th Century Fox was at a Panasonic Blu-ray launch party, and the inevitable questions was asked: “When will we see Star Wars on Blu-ray?” 20th Century Fox Managing Director Chris Dunn answered:
“One would need to ask George [Lucas] that.”
He did reconfirm that when the Original Trilogy finally came to DVD, it was years into the format’s lifespan. Sadly, we will have to continue to wait. I’d settle for the Prequel Trilogy for now, actually. One would think Star Wars would be title that would sparkle on the high def format. Plus, it would easily convert the current non-Blu owners.
C’mon, Lucas…we would snatch these up!

I would love to see Star Wars in HD, but only two I would probably buy are “Revenge of The Sith” and “Empire Strikes Back”.

Blu-rays are a 50GB disc, so Lucas better put all three versions of the OT on them. Sadly, I would buy them all, but I really just want the OT.
