Fleder finds some Protection

Runaway Jury director Gary Fleder is dipping his feet into the thriller genre once more as he takes the directorial reigns in Protection. Writing the script is Mark Bomback, polishing up another version from the previous one that spawned from the mind of Allan Loeb. The story centers on a college professor who investigates the disappearance of his wife and daughter and who must confront authorities at the Witness Protection Program to find them (Variety).

The picture is being produced by John Davis under Davis Entertainment with Twentieth Century Fox holding onto this particular project. Fleder recently directed two episodes of the upcoming crime drama Happy Town which will premiere on ABC.
