First set pictures of The Green Lantern appear

Prepare to be not-so-impressed as the set images for the Martin Campbell directed film The Green Lantern appear for all of us fans to check out. It’s just a shame that there is not much going on in there, unless you look at actor Ryan Reynolds and say to yourself, “That’s not Ryan Reynolds, that’s Hal Jordan!”

The Green Lantern centers on Hal Jordan, a test pilot who is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe. The comic book adaptation is penned by Greg Berlanti, Michael Green, Michael Goldenberg and Marc Guggenheim.

Including a cast that shows off the talents of Blake Lively, Tim Robbins, Peter Sarsgaard and Mark Strong, the DC Enterprises and Warner Bros Pictures film comes out in theaters on June 17th, 2011.
