First images from Werner Herzog’s new horror film

My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done is slowly turning out to  be one of the most anticipated horror films on the horizon, especially with a directors like Werner Herzog and David Lynch producing the odd tale. My Son, My Son stars Oscar nominees Michael Shannon, Chloe Sevigny, Willem DaFoe, Brad Dourif, and the terrifying (under Lynch hands) Grace Zabriskie.

The film’s official synopsis reads: “Inspired by true events, My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done, is a story of ancient myth and modern madness. Brad Macallam, an aspiring actor performing in a Greek tragedy, commits the crime he is to enact in the play by killing his mother. The mystery unfolds in a series of flashbacks displaying the psychological destruction of the killer set off by an ill-fated white-water kayaking trip in a distant land.”

As of now My Son, stands at an odd PG rating, but look for the rating to likely change being a horror film as well as  a film from Herzog/Lynch the men behind films like Nosferatu and Wild at Heart.
