First image appears of Hector Hammond

A lot of you are probably wondering who the hell Hector Hammond is, unless your a fan of the DC Comics series The Green Lantern. The fictionalized character is a criminal who, once he’s infected by the radiation within a meteorite, ends up with an enlarged head along with the powers of mind control and telekinesis. The Warner Bros Pictures film has been filming for awhile now, so it’s about time that we get a better look at some of the supporting cast, especially Peter Sarsgaard here as Hammond. When it comes to certain characters like Hammond, they’re a bit deformed to a degree so it’s always interesting to see how the big screen version is put together.

The Green Lantern, directed by Martin Campbell, stars Ryan Reynolds as the test pilot turned super hero Hal Jordan. He headlines a cast that includes Blake Lively, Mark Strong, Tim Robbins, Taika Cohen and Angela Bassett. The comic book adapted film flies into theaters everywhere on June 17th, 2011.
