First Annual Reaper Awards winners list

Celebrating the best horror themed DVD’s and Blu-ray releases between Sept. 1, 2008 and Aug. 31, 2009, the first annual Reaper Awards were held this week.  The top prize went to the Hellraiser boxed set, which took prizes for Best in Show and Best Packaging. Rightfully deserved, for its encasing in the iconic puzzle box.

• Best Vampire/Werewolf: Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment
• Best Zombie: Quarantine, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment
• Best Ghost Story: The Haunting in Connecticut, Lionsgate
• Best Packaging: Hellraiser Box Set, Anchor Bay Entertainment
