Fathom movie still a go, but will it include Megan Fox?

Megan Fox is getting the normal amount of ridiculous publicity as always, a large part of it due to the fact that she co-stars with Josh Brolin in the comic book adapted feature Jonah Hex. Since we’re on the topic of comic book films, it’s rather fitting to get some information out of the actress over what the hell’s going on with the Fathom movie. This is what she had to say to the folks at MTV Splashpage.:

“That’s going to happen even if I have to step away from it and give it to someone else,” she told MTV. “That movie will happen, just because I love it and it needs to happen.”

…Things seem to be moving along just fine at the moment, as the actress revealed that “Fathom” is currently in the scripting stage. ”They’re still working on the script and getting that together,” she said. “That’s in the early fetal pre-production stages.”

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the story, Fathom is a comic created by Michael Turner that centers on a woman who is part of an underwater race and possesses hydrokinetic powers.

The Transformers actress does have some time on her hands post-Jonah Hex releasing, mainly having to do with the fact that she’s no longer attached to the cast of Michael Bay’s Transformers 3. Fox is set to appear on the big screen a couple of more times, one of them being in Mitch Glazer’s Passion Play. She’ll be seen shooting up people in high heels and a corset in Jonah Hex, coming out in theaters everywhere this Friday.
