Evangelion 2.0 comes to Blu-ray/DVD next year

Nearly a year after its release in Japan, Funimation Home Entertainment has acquired the rights to the second installment in Hideaki Anno’s Rebuild of Evangelion series, Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. Funimation will be releasing the film in Region 1 sometime next year, but no specific date has been set at the moment (via Sci Fi Japan).

It’s unknown if Funimation will release both the extended and standard edition on the same day, as well.
