Empire totally is Kick-Ass

Matthew Vaughn’s new comic book adaptation Kick-Ass is garnering itself loads of attention, and for good reason. Ever since the first few scenes were shown off at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, this sucker could be the one to bring the summer of 2010 to us early in April.

The latest issue of Empire Magazine gives us a couple of new exclusive pictures from the cape wearing feature. The picture stars Aaron Johnson as Dave Lizewski, an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so. Also within the cast is Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Nicolas Cage.

Coming out in theaters everywhere from Lionsgate on April 16th, here’s hoping that this feature really turns out to kick ass.:
